The primary objective was to develop a web-based platform for Global SWF that centralised complex fund data and made it easily accessible for their clients. The solution needed to ingest data from multiple spreadsheets and present it in a visually appealing, user-friendly interface. Additionally, it was important to create an admin portal for seamless data management.

The project began with in-depth discussions to understand Global SWF’s data management needs and user experience expectations. During these sessions, we analysed the existing data sources and outlined the key features required for the platform.
After gathering requirements, our team created wireframes and mockups for the web application, focusing on user-friendly design and intuitive navigation. The client reviewed these prototypes to ensure they aligned with their vision before development began.
Using an agile methodology, Appoly’s development team built the platform’s frontend and backend components. A comprehensive table displaying detailed information on the top 100 SWFs. Users could sort and filter data by country, assets under management (AuM), and other metrics, with links to dedicated fund profile pages.
Dynamic Profiles
The solution featured profile pages for both individual funds and cities, offering in-depth insights into asset allocation, personnel, and other key metrics through dynamic data visualisation like pie charts and tables.
Admin Portal for Data Management
A robust backend portal allowed Global SWF to manage their data efficiently. Administrators could upload Excel files to update fund, city, and personnel information, ensuring the platform stayed up-to-date with minimal effort.
Real-Time Activity Tracker
A dedicated section tracked recent investments and personnel movements (Movers and Shakers), giving clients timely updates on key market activities.
